Terms of Service

Clear rules,
fair to everyone.

Plain-English terms that cover how PetSenseAI works, what you agree to, and the important limits on AI-assisted pet triage. Not a substitute for veterinary care.

Effective August 3, 2026Last updated August 3, 2026PetSenseAI, Inc.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service govern your use of PetSenseAI. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Section 23 contains a binding arbitration agreement and a class-action waiver that affect how disputes between us are resolved. Please read it carefully.

2. Who can use PetSenseAI

PetSenseAI is offered only to people located in the United States. We do not offer the service in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other regions, and you agree not to use it from outside the United States.

You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. If you are between 16 and 18, you may use the service only with the knowledge of a parent or guardian, who remains responsible for veterinary decisions about the animal. You confirm your age and location when you create an account, and we record that confirmation.

3. Not veterinary advice

PetSenseAI provides educational information and AI-assisted triage. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it is not a veterinary diagnosis, prescription, or medical treatment. In emergencies, contact a licensed veterinarian or emergency animal hospital immediately. Never delay professional care because of information provided by the service.

4. No veterinarian-client-patient relationship

Using PetSenseAI does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) between you and PetSenseAI. We are not a veterinary practice, we do not employ veterinarians to review your scans, chats, or reports, and no licensed professional reviews outputs before you see them. Only a veterinarian who has physically examined your animal can diagnose, prescribe, or treat. Laws in your state may require an in-person examination before any diagnosis or prescription; nothing in the service satisfies that requirement.

5. Your responsibility and assumption of risk

You are the decision maker for your animal. You decide what to do with any information the service produces, including whether and when to seek veterinary care, change a diet, give a medication, or travel to a clinic.

You accept the risks that come with using an informational tool about a living animal, including the risk that a result understates a problem, overstates a problem, arrives late, or is unavailable when you want it. You agree not to use PetSenseAI as your only source of information about your animal's health.

6. AI outputs and their limits

Outputs are generated by general-purpose AI models from the photos, videos, and details you supply. They can be incomplete, inconsistent, or wrong, and quality depends on lighting, framing, and the accuracy of what you enter. We publish no accuracy figure and make no performance promise.

We describe how the AI works, what it does not do, and how to challenge a result on our AI disclosure page. You are responsible for verifying anything that matters with a licensed veterinarian.

7. Emergencies

PetSenseAI is not an emergency service. It does not dispatch help, contact a clinic on your behalf, or monitor your animal. Emergency features provide general first-response information and help you find contact details. Clinic listings, hours, and phone numbers come from third parties and may be inaccurate or out of date.

If your animal shows signs of distress, call an emergency veterinarian or a poison control line immediately.

8. Medication and supplement reminders

Reminder features repeat the schedule and dose that you enter. PetSenseAI does not set, calculate, verify, or adjust any dose, does not check for drug or supplement interactions, and does not advise on whether a product is appropriate for your animal. Only a veterinarian who has examined your animal should make those decisions.

Notifications depend on your device, operating system, notification permissions, and network. They can be delayed, duplicated, or missed. Do not rely on them as your only method of remembering a dose.

9. Nutrition and product information

Calorie targets, portion sizes, and body condition estimates are general calculations based on published formulas and the details you enter. They are a starting point for a conversation with your veterinarian, not a prescription diet.

Ingredient, allergen, and toxicity information about scanned products comes from third-party databases and user submissions. It may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong for the exact item you hold. Always read the product label, and if you believe your animal has eaten something harmful, contact a veterinarian or poison control immediately rather than scanning the packaging.

10. Video, gait and behavior analysis

Video features describe movement and behavior patterns across the clips you record, and compare them with your own animal's earlier clips. They are observational and do not constitute an orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, or behavioral assessment, and they do not measure pain.

Baselines need several recordings before comparisons become meaningful. Record only when it is safe to do so, and never force, chase, or provoke your animal to produce a clip.

12. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for the security of your credentials, and for all activity under your account. Do not share an account with someone who has not agreed to these Terms.

13. Subscriptions, billing and app store purchases

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Prices, features, and included pet slots are shown before you pay. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period and we do not provide prorated refunds unless required by law. Applicable taxes are added at checkout.

Purchases made on the web are processed by Stripe. Purchases made inside the iOS app are processed by Apple under Apple's terms, and cancellations, refunds, and renewal management for those purchases are handled through your Apple account. Message credit top-ups are one-time purchases and are non-refundable once used.

If a payment fails we may retry it, notify you, and suspend paid features until the balance is settled.

14. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service.

  • No content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that depicts real animal cruelty.
  • No impersonation, scraping, reverse engineering, or attempts to bypass rate limits or security.
  • No use of the service for information about human health, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • No giving other members medical instructions, and no offering, selling, or trading medication.
  • No uploading of content you do not have the right to share.
  • No automated access without written permission or a signed developer agreement.

15. Your content

You retain ownership of the pet photos, videos, notes, and posts you submit. You grant PetSenseAI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, and display your content solely to operate the service for you, to generate AI outputs you request, and to improve safety using aggregated, de-identified signals.

You are responsible for your content and for community posts. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or community rules.

When you create a share link for a report, anyone holding that link can open it until it expires or you revoke it. Copies already downloaded cannot be recalled.

16. Community, meetups and moderation

The Pack is a community space for pet guardians. Posts and replies are personal opinion, are not veterinary advice, and are not reviewed or endorsed by PetSenseAI. We may remove posts, restrict features, or terminate accounts that harm the community, and we handle reports and blocks through the moderation flow described in-app.

Local packs and meetups are arranged between members. PetSenseAI does not organise, supervise, screen attendees, or accept responsibility for anything that happens at a meetup. Meet in public places and use your judgement.

17. Veterinary marketplace and bookings

Where the service lets you find, book, message, or call a veterinary professional, PetSenseAI acts only as a technology platform that connects you with independent third parties. Those professionals are not our employees or agents. They are solely responsible for their own licensure, availability, clinical judgment, records, and compliance with the laws of the state in which they practice.

We do not verify clinical outcomes and we make no warranty about the advice, diagnosis, treatment, or conduct of any professional reached through the platform. Consultation fees, per-minute charges, and cancellation rules are disclosed before you confirm a booking, and per-minute charges begin when a call connects, including where the outcome is a referral to an in-person clinic. Any dispute about care delivered is between you and that professional. Directory listings, hotlines, and cost ranges shown for a region are general information gathered from public sources and may be out of date; verify them before relying on them in an emergency.

18. Third-party services

Stripe and Apple process payments. Third-party AI providers generate scan and chat responses. Mapping and product data providers supply clinic and product information. Their terms apply to their portion of the service.

19. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations of these Terms, for fraud, or if required by law. On termination we stop billing and remove personal data per our retention schedule. Consent records may be retained for the period needed to evidence the agreements you made.

20. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any result will be accurate.

21. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetSenseAI and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, veterinary costs, or the illness, injury, or death of an animal, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 100 US dollars.

Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

22. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify PetSenseAI against claims arising from your content, your misuse of the service, your reliance on outputs in place of veterinary care, your dealings with other members or with independent veterinary professionals, or your violation of these Terms.

23. Binding arbitration and class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.

Except for small-claims matters and requests for injunctive relief about intellectual property, you and PetSenseAI agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration will take place in the county where you live or by remote hearing, and a court may enter judgment on the award.

You and PetSenseAI each waive the right to a jury trial and agree that claims may be brought only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. An arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim proceeds in court and the rest of this section still applies.

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@petsenseai.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating your name, the email on your account, and that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms. Before starting arbitration, please email us so we can try to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.

24. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Where a claim is not subject to arbitration, it will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the law of your state.

25. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a shorter period is required to comply with law or address a security issue. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
